I have been trying to get into crocheting for a long time. The reason I haven't has nothing to do with lack of desire but perhaps my inability to learn from a book. My mother, God bless her, is left-handed and I'm right-handed. It's hard for my mind to comprehend how to translate what she is doing with her hands to the opposite side. After many failed attempts, I finally found some youtube tutorials. Now I feel like a pro, I'm probably still far from it but I really enjoy it and even now as I write this I am wearing some house slippers I crocheted for myself and feeling pretty cool about it.
